1st Officer Jr. Kevin & 1st Officer Glenn.
Kevin is admiring how his Dads shirt matches his bike.

Don't gimme no lip!

This is the last bike rally at Marcus Dairy (so they said)

Apparently this will be a strip mall soon.

Nice Belt

Nice Ride

Nice Rocket

I want, I want, I want.

A look back as we get ready to leave.
The turn out was huge as most people wanted to be there for the final "Dairy" bike rally.

Kevin thinks it's time for lunch

Lee agrees but others feel it's time for something else.

Simply Scary

Lee and I wondering what happened to our fearless leader Glenn

That could be Glenn on the left tower?

"Hi Guys! Take my picture!"

A monument for the Hudson River Defense fleet that was here until 1971

Just read it

Are those bones? I think it's time to leave.

We decided to take the scenic ride home

Kevin and Lee taking in the view.

The Rt. 9D Tunnel.
The restaurant on the bottom right is where the northbound traffic enters the tunnel and drives through instead of over the mountain.

3 1/2 miles of "fun" riding.

A look down off the cliff shows how little room there is for the railroad tracks.

Taking lots of pictures which was made challenging by the heavy shadows of the setting sun.

How cool am I?

Not a very big parking area

A view of the West Point Military Academy (click on picture for info).

Bannermans Castle on Pollepel Island & the Newburgh Beacon Bridge in the background.
During the American Revolution this island anchored the Navigational Barrier that attempted to keep out the British ships.

Click on image for the very interesting history of the Bannermans Arsenal.

All in all just another great day riding in the Hudson Valley
