The 2008 Catskill 300, is a 264 mile tour of the most scenic riding in the Catskills. There will be breaks approximately every 90 minutes. If you cant go 90 minutes or 65 miles in the saddle this ride may not be for you. People who ride almost every weekend or commute to work on a motorcycle should have no problem. We will be riding mostly winding country roads along many creeks, rivers, reservoirs, waterfalls, countless farms and endless spectacular views. Please never out ride your skills. Enjoy the scenery and wildlife but do not ignore the road conditions and riders around you. Do not worry about keeping up. The ride team will be aware of riders and adjust accordingly. Riders who jeopardize the safety of others will be asked to leave. It would be helpful if riders would familiarize themselves with hand signals and group riding techniques before the ride. Route booklet will be provided at the starting point for all riders who notify us by June 26th of their attendance.

New this year --> 1) A new very inclusive route. 2) There will be drawings for prizes at lunch. 3) The Tour Guide Booklet directions will be easier to read from a tank bag or map pouch. 4) A night before meet and greet dinner party at P & G's Bar & Grill in New Paltz, NY 5) Last check there are still rooms available at the Rodeway Inn in New Paltz if you would like to stay over the night before.

The meeting point will be at the College Diner 500 Main St. (Rt. 299) New Paltz, NY Get there early enough if you want to eat breakfast with the ride crew. Pre ride meeting at 8:15. Kickstands are up at 8:30 AM! There are no fees for joining us on this ride but be sure to bring money for meals and snacks. Bufalo Zach's will be providing us with an all you can eat buffet at the Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club at $ 20 per person. $25 per person if you didn't sign up by June 27th. Money will be collected at break # 3.

Breaks will be at "Mobil On the Run" type places for rest rooms and refreshments. Stretch your legs use the bathroom and purchase a snack. Please be as quick as possible, the more riders in the group the longer the breaks will take. Choose easy to eat & drink snacks & beverages in order to get back on the road promptly. Please don't waist time "shopping around" if you can't decide on a snack you're probably not that hungry and can hold off until lunch.

Buffalo Zach's is absolutely a must visit establishment in the Catskills. An awesome BBQ Restaurant with the most welcoming atmosphere. An "in house" Gourmet Coffee Shop with great desserts. Even has outside dining. A motorcyclist friendly staff (always important to us). Open all day 7 AM to 11 PM. Please even if you don't tour with us, if you are in Roscoe drop in and order from the very complete menu. Be sure to read the back of the menu for it's history. There will be "bail out" points along the way. These points will be listed on each riders map or booklet. Bail out points are intersections of major highways where those who want to head home may leave the group. Directions will be provided to the vicinity of our starting point. Then you are on your own. There is no membership or fee's of any kind associated with this tour. All riders are welcome to follow us as we tour the Catskills. The Road Captain and all who follow the ride at their own risk. Please be properly prepared, you are responsible for yourself and your bike. If you break down the tail gunner will assist you in getting aid but the tour cannot stop.
