Joe's 3rd Annual Lobster Run
September 4th & 5th, 2010

This years destination, Niagara Falls, NY

"Some times you're the bug and
 sometimes you're the windshield" - Joe P.

I guess you can't have great rides all the time.
This one turned out to be dubbed "the ride from hell."
2 riders injured, 1 rider left early & 4 bikes damaged.
2 from an accident, 1 dropped in a parking lot & 1 blown engine
(not to mention a ride coordinator with a blown ego).


It started at the Gateway Diner in Newburgh

Joe of the "Lobster Run" fame.

291 miles into the trip at 2:52 PM a inattentive driver driving at an
estimated 75 MPH crashed into a SUV waiting for us to pass so
they could make a left turn into a church parking lot.
The impact sent the SUV out of control & into our group.

Jumpin Jeff gets touched but regains control while
 Joe & Lorenza get broadsided & pushed into a ditch.
The SUV continues down the road 100 feet out of control.

Lorenza gets the helicopter ride (see below) to Strong Memorial
in Rochester where she is found to be badly bruised but void of
serious injury. Joe gets the ambulance ride with a broken foot.
Joe's bike gets totaled.
